Pizza recipe


Pizza Ingredients:

For Pizza Sauce
8 red tomatoes
salt, pepper
thyme and rosemary
2 tablespoon of olive oil
1 clove of garlic


Pizza Procedures:

1. In boiling water drop the tomatoes and after 2 second wash the tomatoes in running water so you can take off the skin and take off the seeds.
2. In an electric mixer, start by tossing in the thyme and rosemary, and then add the garlic.
3. Put all the tomatoes, the olive oil, salt and pepper and mix well.

Pizza Toppings

Chicken flakes meat
1 small shallots
1 teaspoon of curry powder
salt
2 tablespoon of olive oil
1 cup of pineapple chunks
1 onion sliced
1 red pepper
1 cup of cheese

Pizza Procedures:

1.      Sauté first the chicken flakes in olive oil with shallots for about 3 minutes add the curry powder.
2.       Deglaze the chicken with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice then add a bit of salt then turn of the fire.
3.      Spread over the pizza tomato sauce prepared over the pizza dough.
4.      Arrange the chicken flakes alternately with onion, red pepper and cheese. Sprinkle it with olive oil and bake for 20 minutes at 200° Celsius.

Avocado

Avocado  is one of my favorite fruit; actually I’m a fruit lover. I love this fruit because of its taste and it is the most nutritious of all fruit for what I know.

Its benefits are:


Oral Cancer Defense
Some of the compounds in avocado are able to seek out cancerous cells and destroy without any side effects it is according to a research.


Breast Cancer Protection
Avocado has olive oil, olive oil shown to prevent breast cancer in numerous studies.

Eye Health

Avocados have more of the carotenoid lutein and Lutein protects against macular degeneration and cataracts, two disabling age-related eye diseases.

Lower Cholesterol

Avocados are high in beta-sitosterol, this compound shown to lower cholesterol levels. In one study, 45 volunteers experienced an average drop in cholesterol of 17% after eating avocados for only one week.

For the heart

One cup of avocado has 23% of the recommended daily value of folate. Studies show that people who eat diets rich in folate have a much lower incidence of heart disease than those who don't. Tinolang manok is my favorite Filipino dish it is very easy to cook and it is easy to find the ingredients especially like papaya, chili leaves or malunggay. I learned how to cook this from my mother and I usually use native chicken because we are raising native chickens.

Ingredients:


  • 1 lb. chicken, cut into serving pieces
  • 1 thumb-sized fresh ginger root, (cut into strips)
  • 2 cloves garlic, (crushed)
  • 1 onion, (chopped)
  • salt, to taste
  • 4 to 5 cups water (or rice water – 2nd washing)
  • 2 to 3 green unripe papaya (sliced into cubes)
  • 1 cup sili (chili) leaves
  • vegetable oil


Cooking Procedures:
1.    In a pot, put the chicken and ginger with a little bit of water ½ cup , add salt and cook the chicken until the water is dissolved.
2.  Add put the oil. Sauté garlic until fragrant. Add onions, stir-fry until softened and translucent.
3.   Pour the water. Bring to boil and let it simmer until chicken is half-done.
4.   Add the papaya. Continue simmering until chicken and vegetables are tender. Correct seasonings and then add chili leaves Stir to combine until well blended. Remove from heat.
5.   Transfer to a serving dish and serve hot.

Champorado recipe


Champorado is a sweet rice oat popular dish among Filipinos. It is usually pasty rice boiling with cocoa powder and brown sugar then served with milk on top. It is usually eaten on breakfast, break time, and it is very popular in rainy season.

Ingredients:
1 cup glutinous rice(malagkit)
1/4 cup cocoa powder(dissolve with 1 cup of warm water.)
3 cups water
1/2 cup brown sugar
milk(fresh, evaporated or condensed)
Procedures:
1. Wash rice with water 2-3 times.
2. In a pot, put-in rice with water. Boil in medium heat for about 10-15 minutes and sit occasionally
3. Pour and then blend the cocoa mixture into a pot then stir continuously.
4. Adjust the sweetness with brown sugar
5. Cooked the rice until its texture becomes thick.
6. Transfer to serving plate with swirls of milk on top. Serve hot and enjoy! I

The estimated time to prepare and cook is 30minutes and it is good for 2-3 serving
• some sweetened condensed milk

• 1 cup glutinous (sweet/sticky) rice

Pancit recipe



Pancit is the most presented dish in any occasion whether in wedding, birthdays, Christmas and in almost occasion, celebrations and other event of Filipinos. Its main ingredient is the noodles made out of rice. Pancit is also called as a dish that gives “long life” there is no scientific explanation about that; it is just a belief of the Filipino elders. Aside from chicken meat you can also use pork and shrimp.  


Pancit recipe:

                
Ingredients:
·         1 kilo pancit bihon noodle
·         1 big size chicken breast, boiled and shredded (set aside 5 cups chicken broth)
·         1 medium size, carrots, (sliced into strips)
·         1 medium size red bell pepper, (sliced into strips)
·         1 stalk celery, (sliced diagonally)
·         2 cups cabbage, (sliced into strips)
·         1 large onion, (peeled and sliced)
·         5 cloves garlic, (crushed and minced)
·         1/4 cup soy sauce
·         2 tablespoon. oyster sauce
·         3 tablespoon. cooking oil
·         salt and pepper to taste

Procedure and cooking instructions:


1.  Put cooking oil in a large pan or wok. Then Sauté garlic, onion and chicken
2.  Add in the carrots, celery, cabbage and red bell pepper. Season with pepper and oyster sauce then set aside.
3.  In the same pan, put the chicken broth then simmer for 5 to 10 minutes and the soy sauce.
4.  When boiling adds in the pancit bihon (note: Don't soak the bihon noodle in water because it becomes damp when cooked). 
5.  When needed add more broth to soften the noodles
6.  When the noodle is almost soft, mix now the vegetables in noodle.
7.  Season with salt and pepper according to your taste then remove from heat. 
8.  Put now the pancit in a platter.
9.  Serve hot
  


Pinakbet recipe


Pinakbet, is a vegetable dish with a twist it is contains different vegetables and pork. This dish is a popular dish of Ilocanos originated from the Ilocos region in the Philippines.


This recipe is contains of different vegetables such as eggplant, squash, bitter melon, okra, and others. Then there are quite a number of ingredients essential but still it depends on your taste if you want the ingredient or not. Enjoy cooking!

Try this Pinakbet recipe.

Ingredients
·    1/4 kilo pork with fat (cut into very small pieces)
·    3 tablespoons oil
·    2 cup water
·    2 medium size bitter melon (cut into 8 pieces each without seeds)
·    2 medium size eggplants (cut into 8 pieces each)
·    1/4 lb squash, chopped into 2×1 inch cubes
·    6 pieces okra (halved)
·    6 pieces tomatoes (quartered)
·    1 small garlic (minced)
·    2 small onions (diced)
·    1 small ginger (sliced)
·    4 tablespoons bagoong isda(only the sauce)
·    Pinch of pepper and salt

Procedure
1. In a pot, cook pork add some salt, until lightly crispy, then set aside.
2. Sauté garlic, onion, tomatoes, and ginger in the pan and mix in pork.
3. Put the water , wait until it is boiling then put the bagoong
4. Add the bitter melon, then the squash, after that the eggplant and last the okra and cook.
5. Serve hot.
