Champorado recipe


Champorado is a sweet rice oat popular dish among Filipinos. It is usually pasty rice boiling with cocoa powder and brown sugar then served with milk on top. It is usually eaten on breakfast, break time, and it is very popular in rainy season.

Ingredients:
1 cup glutinous rice(malagkit)
1/4 cup cocoa powder(dissolve with 1 cup of warm water.)
3 cups water
1/2 cup brown sugar
milk(fresh, evaporated or condensed)
Procedures:
1. Wash rice with water 2-3 times.
2. In a pot, put-in rice with water. Boil in medium heat for about 10-15 minutes and sit occasionally
3. Pour and then blend the cocoa mixture into a pot then stir continuously.
4. Adjust the sweetness with brown sugar
5. Cooked the rice until its texture becomes thick.
6. Transfer to serving plate with swirls of milk on top. Serve hot and enjoy! I

The estimated time to prepare and cook is 30minutes and it is good for 2-3 serving
• some sweetened condensed milk

• 1 cup glutinous (sweet/sticky) rice
