Bulalo recipe

Bulalo or others called as beef soup. Bulalo is one of the most popular dish of Filipinos. This dish is very popular in rainy season, because of its hot soup that feels warm.There are many popular restaurant in the Philippines that cook this kid of dish, located at ilocos region in vigan,pangasinan and other provinces on the ilocos region, and on Calabarzon specially on tagaytagay, Batangas.

This dish is not only cooked in the restaurant but also on at homes. This is easy to cooked you don’t have to be an expert but bulalo is beef so you also need some effort and time to cook this dish because of its meat. Others use pressure cooker, but for me i used the ordinary pan. Try this recipe





Ingredients
§  2 lbs beef shank
§  ½ pc small cabbage, whole leaf individually detached
§  1 small bundle Pechay
§  4 pcs banana, saba
§  2 tbsp Whole pepper corn
§  1/2 cup Green onions
§  1 medium sized onion
§  34 ounces water

Cooking Procedure
§  In a big cooking pot, pour in water and bring to a boil
§  Put-in the beef shank followed by the onion and whole pepper corn then simmer for 1.5 hours (30 mins if using a pressure cooker) or until meat is tender.
§  Add the banana and simmer for another 10 minutes
§  Add some salt and taste
§  Next the cabbage, pechay
§  Serve hot. , and green onion (onion leeks)
